Building for health and ecology is unfortunately not yet the norm in North America and becoming an informed home owner is the first important step in this pioneering adventure. We strongly suggest that you attend our clay/straw wall building and Homing In seminar. Over the years this has been the first step for many future EcoNest homeowners.

Find an EcoNest Affiliate

If you are fortunate there will already be a trained EcoNest Affiliate Builder in your area. See the list of Affiliate builders to determine if there is one near you.

Find the Right Builder

Because the EcoNest is a uniquely hand-crafted home, it takes a committed and skilled contractor to do it right. If there isn't a trained builder in your area yet then look for a skilled builder in your area who shares your enthusiasm and have them come to our professional training (see EcoNest intensive). During this 17 day process they will learn the basics of what they need to know to follow our plans and specifications.

Sponsor an EcoNest Workshop

The EcoNest Company has travelled widely to build the clay/straw walls of EcoNests for clients in 17 states and three provinces to date. If you desire to have the EcoNest Company lead a workshop on your site you will first need to attend a workshop to learn how to best host one. We can then work with you to plan your workshop for the next building season.
