Natural Plasters Workshop 2016
We recently hosted a one-day workshop on natural plasters at EcoNest headquarters.
After the timber frame has been constructed, and the straw clay walls are filled, chinked and dried, a layer of rough plaster is applied and raked to provide a good surface for a finer plaster to adhere to.
Because the timber frame remains exposed, we protect the timbers before plastering.

When the plaster is a perfect creamy consistency, the fun begins.
No EcoNest workshop is complete without a delicious lunch.
