About this Affiliate

After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1987 I saved to continue my education on a two year journey traveling the world. In addition to being a builder I've been a first mate on a working sailing vessel in the South Pacific, restaurant owner, and other diverse jobs that have led me to my current career as a fine home builder specializing in environmentally green projects.

My building interests stem from my upbringing in New York where a move from the city to the country opened my eyes to the natural world. Multiple trips to visit family in Finland broadened that influence. I've been living in Crested Butte Colorado for over 20 years. Building environmentally friendly homes has been my passion for many of those years.

I first met Paula and Robert in 1994 at a green building expo in Montrose Colorado where their booth caught my eye and their product stood out as superior. I've since worked closely with them to become an affiliate and have used EcoNest systems in several projects. Creating straw clay timber frames and stomping straw clay homes has been the culmination of my commitment to utilizing green products in the art of fine home building.
