About this Affiliate
Fred Reisen is the owner/builder at Mojo Woodworks located in Boulder, CO. Originally from New Jersey he has called Colorado home since attending the University of Colorado at Boulder from 2007-2011. Through his major in Geography and a focus on sustainable human development he gravitated towards our built environment and the spaces we call home. While in college his learning took him to Brazil for a Permaculture designers certificate as well as Oregon for an apprenticeship in natural building techniques. In the past ten years he has dedicated himself to the trade of carpentry with a specific focus on finish/trim carpentry, furniture, built-ins, and timber framing. From 2017-2020 Fred worked as a lead carpenter at Simblissity Tiny Homes where he completed all phases of the builds and helped design many interior features of the homes. Fred began his journey with EcoNest in 2016 and has returned often over the years to continue his learning and hone skills as a complete builder. His goal is to be a part of the paradigm shift in residential home building happening in North America. By building better homes and embracing more natural, sustainable and healthier materials as well as a strong commitment to building with integrity, strength and beauty he believes we can improve the human connection with our planet and each other.
