Five-Day Build in Ionia

Paula and Robert recently traveled to Ionia, a community on the Kenai Peninsula Borough in Alaska. While there, Robert led a workshop to build a bridge spanning the width of the community barn. The Ionia Barn is the largest straw/clay building in the US and possibly the world. Ionia is a community of fifty or so people of all ages, living and farming on 200 acres of wild Alaskan lands, where they eat a healthy- plant-based diet based on the principles of macrobiotics.
